PBHA (Parent Behavioral Health Assessment) Assessors - Panama City

Families First of FL is seeking additional licensed practitioners to conduct parent assessments for parents involved in a situation where a Child Protective Investigator has identified present danger or determined a child to be unsafe.

Requirements: Assessors must be licensed practitioners of the healing arts (licensed through Florida’s 491 board) and be knowledgeable about Florida’s Child Welfare Practice. Assessors must be proficient in diagnosing both mental health and substance use disorders and must be
familiar with local resources. Assessors must have reliable transportation and be willing to conduct interviews in a location convenient for the parents, most often in the parent’s home. Assessors must have valid Florida license (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT).

You must have a list of current (within the last two years) conferences and workshops attended, dedicated to relevant child and family treatment, and must carry current and valid Individual Professional Liability Insurance Coverage as well as proper car insurance.

Hours are flexible within required deadlines. Florida Medicaid # required, but you can start the process of certification and training prior to receiving the Medicaid number.
