Licensed Clinical Supervisor (LCSW/ LMHC/ LMFT) – Lakeland

Position Overview

Responsible for the direct supervision of the clinical staff, to include Substance Abuse (SA) and agency representative for the clinical team. The Clinical Supervisor will support and facilitate a team philosophy within the agency and the extended community and will be an active member of the treatment team by ensuring quality therapeutic intervention as it relates to the treatment of both mental health and behavior disorders in children, adolescents, and adults served by Families First of Florida. The Clinical Supervisor will support the agency mission through the practice and implementation of ethical decision-making; quality standards of care follow through with agency policies and procedures and abiding by the contractual agreements set forth by DCF CBC, CARF, and Medicaid/AHCA. The Clinical Supervisor reports to the site Program Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible to complete up to 5 intakes per week (to include SA), based on the needs of the department.
  • Responsible for the clinical supervision and management of therapeutic service delivery by the clinical team, including but not limited to overall compliance with the policies and procedures, clinical reporting, department monitoring and contract.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the treatment planning process including but not limited to the formal treatment plan and subsequent reviews, , safety planning, , discharge planning, and crisis stabilization planning for the clinical program.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision and training of the clinical staff including but not limited to the following: (1) facilitating monthly clinical meeting focusing on professional development (2) providing one on one clinical supervision and group supervision on an as needed basis (3) providing crisis intervention and support as needed (4) oversight of the contractual agreements and ensuring staff are providing services agreed upon to the agency standards (5) providing review of clinical documentation and ensuring that paperwork is completed and submitted according to established time frames (6) providing oversight to maintenance of the client files to maintain compliance with contractual agreements (7) other functions/duties related to clinical program and supervision as deemed necessary and appropriate.
  • The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining and fostering quality relationships with the Community Partners, DCF, CBC, Medicaid/AHCA, and any additional community agents working in the best interest and safety of the children. Attend community and treatment team meetings.
  • Report the status of the clinical programs and related issues and concerns to the Clinical Program Manager. Review and report all incident and/or abuse reports to the Clinical Program Manager immediately.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • DSM assessing and diagnosing knowledge and practice.
  • Ability to manage own schedule and meet goals and expectations.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and technology use.
  • Competent in treatment theories and practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of Evidenced Based Practices (can include but not limited to TF-CBT, CBT, ERH, Substance Abuse, Solution-Focused Therapy and addition theories and practices)
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid and Commercial Insurance Guidelines pertaining to Community Behavioral Health and billing practices.

Educational Requirements

  • Hold a master’s degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education or human services and maintain licensure in the state of Florida as a LCSW, LMHC, LMFT.
  • Licensed clinical therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with abused /neglected children and their families.
  • Certified Addiction Professional (Preferred)
  • All clinical therapists must provide a current list of conferences, workshops, and CEU credits dedicated to relevant child and family treatment issues.

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to obtain extra certifications and attend professional trainings
  • Ability to network internally and externally to benefit the company, client and program.
  • Highly responsible and self-motivated.
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required.
  • One year or more of supervisory experience, preferred

Work Environment

This position is an in-office position (Monday – Friday)
