Families First of Florida has an EXCITING opportunity for our GROWING Outpatient Substance Abuse (SA) program located in our Lakeland office. This position will be working with youth and adults who are in need of outpatient SA treatment. We are looking for someone who has a desire to make a difference for clients in need of treatment and is able to work in a growing environment. This is a job for someone who is responsible, motivated, and can work independently.

Job Description:
- Plans and facilitates Substance Abuse (SA) group therapy and Anger Management (AM) group therapy two (2) times a week minimum, for adolescents and adults utilizing the approved SA and AM curriculum. [Must be flexible/available for evening hours].
- Provides a therapeutic group session with each SA client for a minimum of once a week.
- Conduct random Urine Drug Screens
- Maintains communication with all referral sources on the status of client’s progress
- Participates in all staff meetings
- Identifies any clinical/case management needs and works to address those needs
- Documents clients progress through counseling and interaction through groups
- Completes an individualized treatment plan within the required time frame for each client as well as any/all additional documentation required, per Medicaid/DCF/FFF policy.
- Facilitates individual, group, and family counseling.
- Educates patient in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
- Reports patient abuse, neglect and exploitation, as required.
- Reports patient grievances, as required.
- Always acts in the best interests of the program and company; honors, supports, and protects the proprietary data and rights of the company.
- Actively participates in preparation for surveys and inspections conducted by CARF, Medicaid, AHCA, or any other agency site visits as dictated by the state laws or regulations.
- Works in conjunction with the Clinical Supervisor [and Program Manager when applicable] to network with community stakeholders to promote SA Program, as well as build and maintain healthy working relationships.
- Adheres to all quality and regulatory standards to ensure all aspects of the program fall in line with the treatment model and expectations of Families First of Florida Policies and Procedures.
- If a licensed practitioner (LCSW/LMHC, or LMFT), will conduct weekly substance abuse intakes. If master’s level, may be asked to complete substance abuse intakes at the discretion and availability of the Licensed Clinical Supervisor.
- Carry a full-time in office caseload; may conduct telehealth sessions for approved OP clients at the discretion of the Clinical Supervisor.
- Is responsible for obtaining or maintaining proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be dependable and reliable.
- Ability to manage own schedule and meet goals and expectations.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and technology use.
- Competent in treatment theories and practice.
- In-depth knowledge of Evidenced Practices (can include but not limited to TF-CBT, CBT, ERH, Substance Abuse, Solution-Focused Therapy and addition theories and practices).
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid Guidelines pertaining to Community Behavioral Health and billing practices.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English is a plus.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a master’s degree in a Human Services related to the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education and or a human services field.
- Experience in Substance Abuse field is preferred ,but not required.
