Job Description

Families First of Florida (FFF) is a provider of children, adolescent, and adult mental health services. We have served Florida for over 19-years as a Licensed Care Therapeutic foster care provider and in 2013, FFF launched our Outpatient program in Central and North Florida.

This is an excellent opportunity to help change the lives of children and adults with mental health & behavioral problems. Help them grow & develop through individual and family outpatient therapy services. We offer a competitive salary to include $800.00 per calendar year for approved clinical CEU’s.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical supervision to staff that provides counseling/therapy to children, adolescent, and adults.
  • Must possess strong clinical skills, a strong knowledge base of mental health and substance abuse disorders.
  • Ability to complete assessments of clients to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems.
  • Formulate, develop, and implement a comprehensive psychosocial plan utilizing appropriate evidence-based treatments and interventions.
  • Knowledge of short-term solution focused counseling interventions.
  • Ability to screen, identify, diagnose using DSM nomenclature, treat and manage mental health and/or substance abuse problems in clients and family members.
  • Provide clinical trainings to counseling staff.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and manage time efficiently.
  • Flexibility in accepting diverse work assignments and managing stress related to change.
  • Reviews existing clinical policies and procedures to determine if current methods provide the means for delivery of efficient and effective operations.

Requirements

  • Hold a master’s degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education or human services.
  • MUST HAVE LCSW, LMHC, OR LMFT TO BE CONSIDERED
  • Bilingual not required but helpful

Employees must pass Level 2 FDLE background screen, drug screen, local background screen in county of residences, and have the ability to learn and utilize Electronic Health Record.
