Us . . .
Families First of
Florida, L.L.C. is a for-profit, state licensed child-placing agency that was
founded in June 2000 by its managing member, Carolanne Patriaco. With
corporate offices located in Tampa, we provide therapeutic foster care
services to the Suncoast Region and its surrounding areas.
Our programs offer an
alternative approach to the care of children and adolescents in foster care
with moderate to severe behavioral management problems. Families First of
Florida is committed to the treatment modality, Applied Behavior Analysis,
and the belief that the therapeutic homes and the foster parents are the
primary treatment agents.
Families First of
Florida is committed to working with each child, family and treatment team
member in an effort to overcome the permanency challenges presented by this
population of children. The children
that we serve have demonstrated serious behavioral problems or been
determined to be without the option of either reunification with family or
adoption. Our goal is to stabilize
the child within a community setting so that the permanency goal of long-term
foster care; adoption or reunification can be achieved.
What
is Applied Behavior Analysis ? ?
Behavior Analysis is the science
in which Behavior Analysts use systematic observation to study the
relationship between behavior and environment. This includes the analysis of events that happen before and
